Reciprocal Golf Scheme

Members of The Leicestershire can enjoy reduced green fees at a selection of reciprocal golf clubs. This benefit is generally available Monday to Friday, although participating clubs may choose to honour the discounted rate at weekends at their discretion.

The clubs included in the reciprocal arrangement are Trentham Park, Moor Hall, Glen Gorse, Wollaton Park, Radcliffe on Trent & Coventry Golf Club.

1890 Club

The Leicestershire Golf Club was founded in 1890. To celebrate our 125th anniversary in 2015 we established reciprocal arrangements with more than 20 other golf clubs that were also founded in 1890.

As part of this arrangement participating clubs offer reduced green fee rates to members of The Leicestershire Golf Club, providing the opportunity to experience a wide variety of historic and prestigious courses across the country.

The Association of James Braid Courses

Founded in 2009 by a Past Captain and Past President of Henley Golf Club, the Association has grown to include more than 300 member clubs.

The participating courses are located throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland as well as one club in New York. Members of The Leicestershire can enjoy preferential green fee rates at all Association clubs by booking in advance.

Millennium Clubs

In 2000, President Peter Bruning introduced the idea of a Millennium Bowl competition. He invited leading golf clubs from neighbouring counties: Northants County, Stratford-on-Avon, Brocton Hall, and Kedleston Park.

The match is played annually, with the winning team determined by the best aggregate score from the top 10 scores out of 12 players.

As part of this arrangement, members of Leicester Golf Club are entitled to play these courses at the members' guest rate. To make a booking, please contact the office, who will make the booking on your behalf.
