We welcome you to The Leicestershire Golf Club. The club was established in 1890 and in its 133 year history there has never been husband-and-wife captains, until now! Peter and Rose Fowler. We worked in Health and Education for our working lives, Rose as an ITU sister and Health visitor and Peter as a teacher and Headteacher. When choosing a Club, we were drawn to The Leicestershire because of the quality of the course, the friendly community, the Club’s ethos and the continued commitment to improving the facilities and member experience.
The Leicestershire very much reflects the Leicester community with its vibrant membership. We have very active sections: the Juniors, Ladies, Seniors and Men’s sections. The inclusive, friendly community is at the heart of everything we do. The Club continues to improve year on year, allowing us to achieve the high standards expected of a premier golf club. The golf course has seen amazing changes under the recent management and direction of Course Manager, Steve Hardy. The clubhouse and hospitality are continually impressing our members with excellent food, facilities, events and social activities.
The Professional Shop, under the guidance of Pete Livie our resident professional and his team, provide us with specialist advice and equipment, as well as high quality tuition accompanied with state of the art teaching facilities.
